What Is Waking The Oracle
Founded and developed by Molly Jane Sturges, Waking The Oracle is an immersive mythical-musical-meditation, contemplative community learning and healing process, and planetary health project. It is a catalyst that brings people together into an inspirational creative and social healing activation in order to love, serve, protect, and heal the sacred in ourselves, each other, and our beautiful planet. Built upon years of experience on the climate DIY musical storytelling project, Firerock (www.firerockmusical.com), Oracle is a radical and inspiring new & remembered form of social healing and innovation.

Founder’s statement
Welcome To Waking The Oracle!
If Oprah, Bill McKibben, Quan Yin, and Timothy Leary had a baby- it would be Oracle.
Part immersive mythical musical meditation, call-to-climate-action, and contemplative community healing and learning process, Oracle is for all of us.
Come as you are. Be who you be. Feel all the feels.
Based upon my 9 years of experience working with hundreds of people at the intersections of spirituality, music, climate crisis, and community building, Waking The Oracle is a creative catalyst that asks us all to bring our unique contributions, love, and steady commitments in service to living in balance and harmony with ourselves, each other and the living planet.
Oracle is a small offering to our common task. It asks us to clarify and strengthen how we each love, heal, serve and protect the air, water, soils, animals and one another at this critical time. It asks us what kind of ancestor we want to be to future generations of all species.
Everyone is stressed out and many of us are traumatized. We often feel scared and overwhelmed. It is natural to feel this way in the face of what is currently going on. We can learn to be okay with being scared, welcome not-knowing and take our next best step. This is part of the path we are walking at this time.
It is my prayer that Oracle supports us with all of this through immersive contemplative direct experience, song/dance/poetry/visual art that transforms hard edges into spaces of inquiry and inspiration, collaborative participation, cultivation and expression for our radiant social imaginations, and accessible concrete education.
It is my prayer that is moves us towards love and connection, and away from fear and isolation.
I feel hopeful. There is great news…it turns out we are the solution!
WE GOT THIS!
We have the power to stop the assaults to the planet and human dignity at this time.
Let us be educated and clear about what numbs and distracts us and make courageous essential choices every day.
Educate yourself. Educate others. Learn to calm your mind, love all parts of yourself, and be very mindful about what belief systems you internalize. We each have our small part to play.
Be on task!
The Oracle helpers are here to support us.
Courage, The Breath of Life, The Blessing Angels, Crow, Queen of the Wildwood, Gaia, The Revealer, The Sun, The Living Questions and so many more. We are in good hands.
We will feel lost, depleted, and unsure. Take a deep breath. Reach out for a hand. Then continue on. The planet’s well-being is also our well-being.
We all love, serve, heal and protect in our own unique ways. You are not alone, nor have you ever been. Though it so often feels that way.
Be steady. Be strong. Be true.
You will feel better. I promise you.

The Oracle helpers, The Blessing Angels, sing to George Washington who is getting a new chance at living a life in balance with himself, others and the planet. Here the angels welcome George into life with a blessing song.
George Washington learns empathy. Cast members of the Oracle premiere step out of character to speak with George about what their lives are like from their personal perspective. George listens and asks for help to not make the same mistakes he made in the past.
George Washington gets another chance at living a life with empathy and in balance with the planet. Here he learns Sparksong aided by the Oracle helpers such as Courage, The Truth Teller, The Red Cardinal, Love & Fear, The Mystery, The Angels, Gaia and many more.
